Do’s:
- Do make sure you popup blockers are disabled. Courses are designed to open in a new window, so if your browser’s popup blockers are enabled your assignment may not open.
- Do use the course expected duration times to schedule time to take your assignments.
- Do exit out of a course tutorial if you need to step away from your computer. Leaving a course inactive for extended periods of time can result in a course timing out, and present completion issues which require your training administrator to reset or mark you complete. As long as you exit a course in the tutorial section the course will bookmark your spot and ask you if you’d like to pick up where you last left off upon re-launching.
- Do talk to your manager or training administrator with any questions or concerns regarding your assignments.
Dont’s:
- Do not exit a course if you’re in the middle of the final test. Exiting a course during the final test without having reached the completion page may still result in a completion attempt. Your score up until that point in the test may also be recorded in your transcript.
- Do not continue to retake a course that isn’t completing properly. There are a few variables that can determine whether a course will complete properly or not; retaking the course likely will not fix the underlying problem. If a course did not complete properly on the first attempt, please reach out to your manager or institution’s training administrator to help identify and fix the problem.
