The OCC released the performance evaluations of 20 institutions that became public during the month of January. Two are rated outstanding and 18 are rated satisfactory. There were no needs to improve or substantial noncompliance evaluations.

The NCUA is reminding qualified taxpayers about the benefits of the EITC , and that refunds may be sent later this year than in previous years. The EITC is for working people with low-to-moderate incomes who meet certain eligibility requirements.

The OCC supports Earned Income Tax Credit Awareness Day, which is a nationwide effort to educate the public about the EITC for the past 11 years. OCC regulated institutions are encouraged to work with their customers and communities to promote the EITC and free tax assistance programs.
