When BAI retires a course, any course left over on students’ “My Dashboard” will launch to an error message. Please ensure all training is complete, and remove or replace these courses in your rules before retirement dates occur. A full list of retirements and recommended replacements from 2023 can be found HERE. Learn more by accessing our Retirements FAQ.
BAI retires courses at the end of a calendar year to minimize impact on customers’ training cycles. We also notify customers well in advance of the courses we plan on retiring to ensure you have enough time to phase them out of your training plan. After the retirement date, your organization runs the risk of assigning outdated content as we no longer make updates to the course.
Retiring courses can be converted into custom courses for your organization to continue using – contact your CSM for more information. Please note: converted retiring courses to custom courses may incur a small fee.
No. BAI offers recommended replacements to help you easily transition to similar courses, but you may choose other courses if you wish. Please submit your replacement courses promptly and all at the same time, for speed and efficiency in processing you order.
BAI will soon provide a list of courses you’re subscribed to that are set to retire at the end of 2023, along with recommended equivalent replacement courses. Please review, sign off, and return this list to your customer success manager ASAP. Replacement course will go out with the last update cycle of 2023, currently scheduled to start in November. Please submit all of your replacement orders at the same time for speedy turnaround.

Web browsers are moving towards stricter autoplay policies in order to improve the user experience, minimize incentives to install ad blockers, and reduce data consumption on expensive and/or constrained networks. Due to these recent security features which BAI cannot override, narration and video that’s set to autoplay will not automatically play on the first slide in I-Design courses. To workaround this issue simply create a new first slide in your course, and have the second slide contain your narration or video set to autoplay.
